Our New Foreign Teacher

It is universally acknowledged that a good teacher will give you much help. Luckily, Robyn, our oral English teacher, belongs to this type. And she is one of the best teachers we have.

Robyn, a beautiful girl, comes from Canada, with a lovely oval face, white skin with the rosy glow of health showing in her cheeks and lips, and a mass of gorgeous red hair. When she first came into the classroom, we all thought that how pretty and young she is!

Robyn is an active teacher, always smiling; we have a lot of fun in her class because there are many games in. One game like Luck 52 program---you should explain the words to your partner in 20 seconds (in our lessons we certainly using English). Robyn first picked four or five students up and gave them words, then pided the others into two groups. When the game started，she became as excited as us. Another game we played needs cards, she gave each one of us a card and those who got the same shape and color sat together. So we had four groups---heart, club, diamond and spade, then she gave a difficult word from dictionary and let us guess the meaning. The group which gave the closest meaning could get a point. She told us this was only a small part of that game, she would teach us more in the next lessons.

These games we played are not only for fun, but also a way to improve our English. Assimilating the education into recreation is Robyn’s teaching method. It’s a great idea to make us enjoy English learning.
